Chapter 3 : We have to what?!

Kevin (POV)

Uh, work was terrible yesterday. My boss was lecturing me about being an hour late. He said it happens again, I'm fired. If I get fired me and Eli are practically dead, we won't be able to pay bills, cook, eat!
Well I had other things to worry about today, I had to go to the home supply store and see if we can get something to fix the leak in our roof. But I was so hungry, Eli did cook anything last night, and I was too lazy to cook anything either. After I got the stuff to fix the roof I headed home. When I pulled into the drive way I sighed in exhaustion. I sat there for a while in my car.
The next thing I know I get a text.
It was Eli.

Eli text: kev where r u
Kevin text: I'm on my way

I said I was on my way even though I was right outside.
I finally got up and grabbed the bags out of the car. And I went inside.
Eli was in the kitchen when I walked in, surprisingly cooking.

Eli: hay, that was quick
Kevin: really. It felt like the hour would never end.

I flopped on the couch. Eli then put down the pan and came and stood next to me.

Eli: I got a phone call from court today.
Kevin: what? Why?
Eli: we need to move.
Kevin: what?! You gotta be kidding.
Eli: they called today saying that we haven't been paying the right amount of money to pay for the rent.
Kevin: wouldn't we have gotten something in the mail.
Eli: they said the have sent us notice.
Kevin: oh my god. Did we throw them away with all the junk mail.
Eli: I don't know. But don't worry this apartment is under my name so I'll take care of it. You just go to your room and rest.

With that I went to room crying. We had to move out! We barely had enough money to eat. How are we supposed to pay for an apartment on short notice like this.
I then saw a picture of my mom on the bed table next to me. I picked it up, then the sight of seeing my mom on that picture made me want to cry even harder, I wish she was still here, alive, smiling, happy. If only she was here to help me through this.

Chapter 2: trying to be with you

Kevin (POV)

I had just woke up and Eli was passed out on the couch from being drunk from the night before. I wanted to get up and make breakfast before Eli woke up, but for some reason I couldn't get out bed. Finally I got up to get some breakfast. I went in the kitchen and started cooking bacon. Then Eli came woke up and hugged me from behind while I was cooking.

Eli: you're awake!
Kevin: no I'm sleeping, now get off me!
Eli: ok, ok, the lady gets what she wants. Can I have some breakfast too.
Kevin: as long as you promise not to get drunk again.
Eli: "how am I supposed to keep that promise?"
He said laughing hugging me from behind again.

Eli: Can we go somewhere tonight. Binnie.
Kevin: no, and don't call me Bi-, wait did you say tonight?
Eli: yea, it's 6:23
Kevin: WHAT?! I have to get to work!

I ran down to my room and put on some jeans and a blue shirt. I grabbed my jacket. Leaving Eli with the half burnt bacon on the stove.

Eli (POV)

I wasn't supposed To work with Kevin today, we had different work shifts. But I cant believe he turned me down. I wanted to see if he could go to the mall with me. I'd always had a crush on him, but he likes all girls. And it didn't even matter anymore because he was already busy with work, trying to make enough money to buy us a house instead of this old apartment. I decided to call my friend I met about a year ago, Hoon. I never told Kevin about him, because he says that ' people don't come to love they come to fool and hate'. I really wish Kevin wasn't so depressed about his mom dyeing a long time ago.

Hoon: hello?
Eli: hay.
Hoon: oh hay Eli, did you ask Kevin too hang with us.
Eli: well I didn't say with us, I was gonna see if I could trick him into making some friends. But he said no.
Hoon: oh, we'll what did u want.
Eli:nothing, we can still hang though.
Hoon: ok. Meet me at my place.

My name is kevin, i do not expect any reply from who ever this is going to. Im a rebellious 21 year old. All my family eaither died or turned their back on me. I have no real friends except for - the person i can tell everything to - Eli. He knows all my secrets and he is my roomate. He works with me at a small resturant for tourist.

I then tied it to the balloon and let it off. It really has been a long time since i have done this. My mom would take me out here on this same front porch - that i live right outside of still- and she would take me out here on every holiday, birthday, or special occasion. She said it was like sending a message off to God, but she always told me to remember that i couldn't send notes to God instead of praying, we always had to pray. But she died when i was twelve, i lived with my brother until i was 16, but then he got really mad when i wouldnt stop takeing money without his permission all the time. And im still on my own, with Eli of course.

Riley (POV)

I was super tired, and bored. My best friend Sunny was sick. So, i decided to add more high lights too my hair. I have always had brown-ish / gold-ish hair, with a purple streak. But this time i decided to dye all my hair black woth a purple streak.

It was still early evening when i was done with my hair. So i decided to call my other friend Bubbi. We always called her Bubbi, but her real name was Ariel. Since i was soooo board, i decided to go for a walk to the kids park. It was really foggy outside, but i didnt really care. I made sure i brought my laptop with me, just in case i was stuck doing something.
When i got to the park, there suprisingly no children, so i decided to siton the top of the castle where the children would always play.
I grabbed my laptop and open'd it up ro my blog.
Did i forget to mention i was famouse on the internet for my blog. I got hundreds of views everyday.
I started to write my new blog post.

' hay guys, i wanted to say that i wont be posting for a while, because i think i should take a little break.'

I then clicked post, and it was posted. I had no specific reason to say i wouldnt be on, i just wanted to take a break from the constant blogging everyday..

I was on my way to work. Eli was alteady therebecause i was sleeping.
I was walking all the way, usually Eli would drive me, but he didnt. To get to work i had to pass the gass station, then pass the grocerie stores, then the playground. It was a really long way. Till i got to the playground. I then got to the playground but then when i was passing by the slide, i slipes from the rain on the slide, i intended to step over it. i dropped my back-pack, it was open because i forgot to close it. Then i saw a girl with great posture and pretty purple highlights come to help me put the stuff in my bag.

Riley: "oh my gosh, are you okay"

Kevin: yea, im fine.

Riley: hi, im riley

She then stook out her hand for me to shake it.

Kevin: im kevin, look it was nice meeting you, but i have to get to work.

We then both departed.
